Submerse to Emerse to Sub-emerse

This is what happen if we lack of patient.. i try to change the scaping and method over and over again in 1 month.. just wasted previous effort.. the plant suffering, especially HC..

this is some moss i pick from garden.. pearling like riccia.. so beautiful.. but it won't last long..

trying emerse for 1 week.. HC dying.. regret.. what u see is all floating HC..

latest test, before fill in water..

 i stuck the anubias nana into the hole from wood..

 this is the pearling garden moss you see previously.. died..

 trimmed blyxa.. have 6 bunch..

hydrocotyle from my friend, just put it aside and leave it alone..

 1 week old after fill with water (half tank)

 blyxa growing, anubias stuck in garden moss place..

 other anubia..

 hydocotyle at back.. some dying HC at front..

 growing masilea..

 i just found that they call this freshwater limpet.. i suspect it can eat away green spot algae..

 some red meat snail.. dunno what name..

 err.. subtrate worm.. food for young fish..

 unknown plant.. just suddenly bloom from there.. need to wait for it to grow more to identify what plant is that..

 masilea growing fast..

new plant introduce to tank, Utricularia Graminifolia.. ^^

My DIY Co2 Reactor

Using 80 sen small bottle. I create this reactor.

Normally how many Co2 melt in the water, how many escapes to surface?
well i believe more than 80% wasted... your sugar and yeast also wasted.. sohai betul right?

Now, The concept is trapping CO2 bubble inside bottle and using water flow to shoot directly inside that bottle to create Turbulence. the excess water mixed with co2 will forced out through sponge below the bottle. Co2 gas remain inside bottle because it cannot pass through the sponge...

Unexpected benefit is, the co2 bubble inside the bottle getting more and more, thus the excess co2 bubble has no enough time to mix with water will also forced out through sponge below in the form of very fine... tiny bubbles... better than ceramic diffuser...

Plant start pearl after 15 min install of this reactor..

After 2 hour... never pearl like this b4... really amazing.. AA Gun Warzone....

Irresistable temptation

Don't ask me why.. i just don't feel like the old design.. Hence decided to revamp the whole tank.. this feel better.. 

by the way, the substrate is mix of JBL & ADA soil..

anyway, the blyxa japonica is not well planted, 1 of it on the left side is floating halfway..

and the soil behind the wood is like land slide >"<

tree made of anubias species.. foreground cover with HC which is still failure growing it..

Bad news: 1 of the light spoiled, need to try claim for warranty since i just bought it within a month.. 2nd, my sunset molly gave birth to around 10+ molly fries.. unfortunately they all become the mom's food.. = =" no survivor..

Good news: gold-yellow guppy gave birth to roughly 30-40 fries.. manage to seperate them from their parent, currently in another tank.. hopefully will upload video soon..

Wish me successful in growing HC, by the way, recently heard a lot about UG (Utricularia Graminifolia), seems like interesting too ^^
