How to: | Apart from good lighting and nutrients, this plant has litte requirements and will adapt to most water conditions. Many specimens ae grown floating before being sold to create a dense mat of leaves and a a short appearance, providing the plant is regularly pruned, this appearance can be maintaned. Without nutrients and strong light, the plant will quickly die. |

Nice... but carpet plant in our country not much people success, even in aquatic shop, today u go they display nice, next week u go again, they might become yellow or dying... thats mean even expert in our country having a hard time... made me doubt is it our place really that hot...
ReplyDeletebut from what I read from a book, it can sustain 20 - 28 °C, of cause it also mentioned "Without nutrients and strong light, the plant will quickly die".. :p
ReplyDeleteImagine u setting ngam ngam save... plant grows all over leng leng.... suddenly unknown nutrien depleted... mampus chuen kwan fok wut.... sometime we though we get the right ferts, then plant grow, actually not coz ur ferts lo, is coz some mineral in the water or soil enough... then when it habis jor after few month, u keep ferts and said mat lan oh.... ferts suddenly not working geh? haha sohem jor all this while nothing to do with ur expansive ferts...
ReplyDeleteHaha.. u r right, thats why those reseller so smart create many type of ferts separately.. Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, Nitrogen, etc.. and also with water test kits to test pH, kH, Ammonia, etc.. which most of us doesn't even know what the hell is that..

that is a fantastic Hemianthus callitrichoides carpet. It has to be the best carpetig plant known to aquascaping!
