My Planted Tank Update (August 2012)

Here is the pics of my planted tank after so many trial and error, Enjoy..

Hydrocotyle Tripartita on the right side

on the left side

Glossostigma from Steve strated to set runners. Use fencing to not mix with other plants

Middle section just removed the very big Anubias to give more space for neon tetra. Anubias choped to 3 part and stuck into the 2 big wood. Then plant more Hydrocotyle Tripartita in the middle.

Wait time the anubias craw the wood and grow more leaf.
Wait time the Hydrocotyle Tripartita cover the whole ground, if too tall i will trim it and plant more.
Wait time the  Glossostigma cover the whole Fencing area.
Jungle Val at behind not growing, but dead very very slow. just leave it there...

Everyday after back from work sure has some progress... overall satistied.

And u guys might interested on the pic below of my tank 5 weeks ago to see thie different after changed from 15Wx2 light to 55W AquaSonic.

  1. how long has it passed since you change the light ?? and the HC how long already is it in your tank ?? if same timing like steve should be around 2 week.. your HC seems like growing more rapid than steve's maybe really the light matter.. by the way i want to try HC too.. it seems like my other plant already stable.. now wanna try something new.. ^^

    1. some plant is expensive.. but if we don't buy it, no where else can get it.. cause not all plant can be found in malaysia nature.. anyway my plan was to buy all type of plant and propagate myself.. so in future if have new tank, can direct pick from my planted garden.. haha.. big project.. need more experience in plant before do this..

  4. FYI, Malaysia is tropical land panas dan lembab sepanjang tahun.. We has most aquatic plants. We are one of the biggest exporter of aquatic plants too. even my hydrocotyle tripartita and anubias longkang kat kampung area also can found. Javamoss no need say lo. go waterfall then its everywhere.
Just when they emersed u didnt recognized them. try put submerse it in tank. u will know what is it.

What i mean is. Malaysia Nature has all the plant foreign aquarist wanted. thats why they need import from us just like durian...
