Hydrocotyle Tripartita Catastrophe

emm... this is what i called restart...

The reason to do this is, because when I first plant it, it is just 2 small batang. then it grow very lush above the soil. only the first 2 batang attached to soil. So now I have many many batang with roots. I cucuk all deep deep into soil and let it regrow. by then it will recover and most attached to soil. fully utilised the soil. and any new growth vertically above 5cm I will trim to remain carpet look.

How to make your plant pearling

I think many people have been wondering how to make your plant pearling ? There is actually a secret formula, but it was simple.

Pearling = Strong Light + High CO2 level + Sufficient Fertilizer

Guess what, see below video.. it was obvious that the anubias pearling like M16, when the light is close down, the pearling stopped..

how to do this ??

2 x DIY CO2 generator
Ingredient (each bottle):
- 250g sugar (melt in room temperature water)
- half tea spoon of yeast
- half tea spoon of soda bicarbonate (not a must)
each bottle can last up to 2 - 4 weeks

Light source = 2 x (2 x 16w) = 64w
12k Florescent lamp (if you can get 6.5k is better)

Tank size is 45cm x 25x 25cm = 28 liter / 7.2 gallon water

Can Banana Peel as Aquatic Ferts?

Banana Peels Can Purify Polluted Water better than existing purifiers like silica and carbon, it also could be re-used eleven times before they stopped working and leave behind no chemical residue.

My Idea is:
u can clean & dried under the sun (or steam it to kill all the gem). Chop small small. Wrap in kain bandage then put in filter or just tuck inside your soil as root tabs...

I havent try yet.... but since its natural resources. I believe ho harm trying...

My AquaScaping (Updated)

my current update of aquascaping, all the plant look very healthy cause i fert for 2 week. now i change to fert every 2 day. all the plant growth very fast. only hemianthus growth very slow. but i already brought Seachem Potassium. Let see the result after 1 month.

Next had to show off my Java Moss and Christmas Moss but when you see below image, it very difficult to determine which one is Java Moss and Christmas Moss. next i planned to plant Coral Moss if i had a chance.. haha

Finally, here come the blyxa japonica. first time i plant, the plant like dying and the leaves also turn brown and yellow. below is the update after i fert for 4 days. haha not bad ha

I Kacau My Tank Again, New Design

Glossostigma crawling so fast, It is heading to hydrocotyle, Almost there. I dont want them entangle each other. It would be a mess. I use fence. But it is not working coz got celah. HC pandai find way.

So I go aquarium nearby see what can separate them. And this Larva Rock they sell said from volcano. Rm5 per kg. Huh? larva rock can put in aquarium? wont it be harm? The shopkeeper show me his aquarium, there, got larva rock. He said use to reduce PH. no harm. ok I brought it.

I designed a lowered level of soil fencing by these rocks like a river. (End up like Longkang) Hopefully it works. Wait and see.

And I still have 50% of these rock left. Who want it? Dun waste lo I know pakai liao, summore I dun like keep things i no pakai, U dun want I throw de la.... free de!

Overdose of Fertz Experience. Take Note!

I though it was some deficiency, I ferts once every 2 days with JBL Ferropol.

I search all over the net, no exact article about this. This leaf became black around the edges. more and more leaf become like this everyday. so worried, This is less demand plants. how could this be?

I add more Ferts hopefully it could recover. I dunno which specific ferts not enough, If Iron not enough, Ferropol can cover It, I also have Seachem Potassium. no Idea what else. How bout lighting? No article about Over Lighting symtom. They keep talk about Not enough light Symtom. Anyway I reduce my light from 15 to 12 hrs. Thats all I could reduce due to my working hours.

Then I come with the article about gardening, non aquatic plant. Mention about burned leaf on the edges might be overdose of fertz especially Iron. So I do 50% water changes and nomore adding fertz. Ferropol has most of fertz mainly Iron. Maybe I dose too much. Less demand plant indeed cant eat that much ferts.

It works... Leaf that burned too much is too late to save. Leaf that burned a little seems recovered. and new leaf no more burned. I believe Its Overdose Iron. So I heard u guys does daily. It is not a good idea... tangan gatal mau fertz... tahan please! u will harm your plant...

Hygrophila polysperma Rosanervig recently i only know it's name.. this plant is very sturdy.. it's with me before even i have this tank.. it survive in low light, low mineral tank.. today.. they are happy and growing fast like F1..

another easy & fast growing.. Limnophila sessiliflora, nice for background and hiding place.. my little black molly love it..

the focus should be the plant on left.. it was Sagittaria Subulata..

of cause is not Anubias nana.. it just havent fully grown Anubias Barteri..

This is a trophy gain from Pisang Waterfall trip wth my buddy.. i wonder what type of moss is this.. it's still alive.. when we pick it up, it's not submerge yet.. it was still at side of the river near the tree..

same as above.. a trophy.. it's a piece of tree bark i tear off from a fallen tree trunk.. i suspect it was coral moss or star moss ??
